The Farm
We ♥ British farming
The farm is approx. 700 acres at Allington Bar and in the local area. The family has been tenants here for 3 generations. We are growing cereal crops, potatoes and grass, and are rearing cattle, pigs and sheep.
We rear mainly traditional British breeds, some of which have now become rare breeds. We prefer less intensive farming methods and believe that the slower maturing produces a higher quality meat product.
The meat in Allington Cafe has a guaranteed low food mileage and our menu is embracing the seasons.
